Model B-818 Series 18-Key Bb Clarinet
The Model B-818 Bb Clarinet is an 18 Key Advanced Student System designed for clarinetists with intermediate skills through the collegiate level.
The 18th key, found primarily on professional level systems, is now available to the advancing student! The 18th key on the B-818 is an additional left-hand Eb level allowing the player to make quicker transitions.
Features include water resistant pads, synthetic cork and lacquered nickel-plated keys (silver-plated keys are available). The outstanding projection and tone of the B-818 makes it great for chamber music, orchestra and ensemble work.
With finer lines, precision post, spring and key-work, fluid action and superior intonation, the B-818 Bb Clarinet is recommended for intermediate level students who have organized playing experience and have come to expect superior tone and timbre from their instrument. Adults who are just beginning or who are returning to the clarinet after some period of time can also benefit from this advanced system.
The B818 comes in two styles: B818 and B818A (Advanced Tone). The models are identical except for the additional Cocobolo Wood barrel which is designed specifically for the B-818A to provide a fuller, darker tone and high-quality, advanced-performance acoustics!
